In the lead free solder bar family we majorly have 3 types: Sn99Ag0.3Cu0.7, Sn96.5Ag3.0Cu0.5, Sn99.3Cu0.7. The first two types of solder bars contain precious metal silver, while the 3rd one is without silver. The code Sn99Ag0.3Cu0.7 represents that in this alloy 99% is tin, 0.3% is silver and 0.7% is copper. This alloy comparing to SAC305, composition is same just the percentage of silver and copper is different. The more silver inside, the more expensive the solder bar is.

The alloy Sn99Ag0.3Cu0.7 is Lead free (Pb free), so it can be used for applications that requires components to comply with ROHS regulations.
Melting point of bar solder Sn99Ag0.3Cu0.7 SAC0307 is at 217 to 225℃, which is a bit higher than SAC305 but lower than SACX07. Working temperature should be around 270℃.
Silver has very good electrical conductivity, that's the reason why the alloy contains silver. Adding silver is to increase the electical conductivity of the solder bar, thus if we comparing it to SACX07, this alloy Sn99Ag0.3C0.7 has this advantage.
Compring to high silver alloy SAC305, the Sn99Ag0.3Cu0.7 is about 40% cheaper in cost, but in a certain sense, it still keeps reasonable good conductivity. Definitely in high end applications, where superb electrical conductivity is required, it's more reasonable to use the high silver SAC305 bar solder, but in most cases, for the general soldering purpose, the SAC0307 is already quite good enough. Still we keep saying the same words: the most proper is the best, no the most expensive one.
